Johnson County Tobacco Free Coalition (JCTFC) organized in 1996 to form a coalition of parents, educators, health professionals, Johnson County Department of Public Health, Mercy Community Health Partnership, Mid-Eastern Council on Chemical Abuse (MECCA), the Iowa City Community School District, the American Cancer Society and concerned citizens to look for a solution to the rising rates of youth tobacco use.
