Our Mission is to eliminate death and disease cause by tobacco use
CAFE U-Iowa is an official student organization of the University of Iowa and works with CAFE Johnson County on tobacco issues in the university community.
Our goals are:
To educate the campus community about the dangerous effects of second-hand smoke
To reduce the prevalence of current U of I smokers
To provide cessation resources for those who want to quit
CAFE U-Iowa is accepting applications for the following leadership positions for the 2008-2009 school year:
President
Vice President
Four positions for the Board of Directors
These positions will work to extend the impact of CAFE U-Iowa by organizing two large events on campus, organizing smaller outreach events, scheduling speakers, and developing awareness campaigns. We have many activities planned throughout the year and provide numerous volunteer opportunities. We keep our members updated about upcoming activities through e-mail and our CAFE Facebook group. If you would like to join either of them please contact us and let us know!
