CAFE U-Iowa

CAFE U-Iowa is an official student organization of the University of Iowa and works with CAFE Johnson County on tobacco issues in the university community. 

Our goals are:

• To educate the campus community about the dangerous effects of second-hand smoke

• To reduce the prevalence of current U of I smokers

• To help the U of I campus go 100% smoke-free  

• To educate the local bar and restaurant owners about the benefits of going smoke-free

CAFE U-Iowa is accepting applications for the following leadership positions for the 2008-2009 school year:

• President

• Vice President

• Four positions for the Board of Directors                                                                                                                                           

These positions will work to extend the impact of CAFE U-Iowa by organizing two large events on campus, organizing smaller outreach events, scheduling speakers, and developing awareness campaigns.  If you are interested in applying please submit an application to 120 N.
